![]() At Diversified Association Management, we act as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the homeowners. What does it mean to serve on the board of directors? Boards are elected to represent the homeowner’s association and protect the best interest of the community. The primary role of the board is to protect and increase property values. To successfully run a single-family, townhome or condominium association, board members must be able to put the welfare of the community first. Decisions are made by the board as a collective group and not individual members. It is important for all members to be cooperative, positive and to stay focused on the needs of the community. The role of the board is not only about maintaining common areas and enforcing rules, but about building the social and civic well-being of the community. At Diversified, we encourage our board members to help inspire our mission of “Creating a Sense of Community” in all the associations we manage. It is important to remember that the board of directors are volunteers. Diversified Association Management is here to help them navigate the intricacies of association management.
